Campaign 1: "The Power of One"

Congratulations to the following departments that achieved 100 percent participation in Campaign 1! Your support will make a difference in the lives of the students you serve!

This is an exciting time at Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC), as we are launching a campaign to help increase the number of employees who contribute to the LFCC Educational Foundation. Contributing through payroll deduction is easy, automated and inexpensive. Best of all, it is a great way to make a tremendous difference in students’ lives and your community through contributing only a small amount per pay period.

For example, if every employee contributed just $3 per pay period, the Foundation would receive $36,720, which would fund an endowed scholarship for an LFCC student in need. If each employee contributed $8 per pay period, the Foundation would receive $97,920 annually and we could cover an endowed scholarship, plus:

  • Provide funds for equipment and salaries for the College’s athletic program
  • Provide resources to cover the administrative costs associated with the Foundation
  • Purchase equipment, instructional software, training and cover the salary for a nursing retention specialist
  • Provide 37 students with the opportunity to participate in travel abroad educational opportunities to Costa Rica and Puerto Rico
